Creating Stronger Foundations Together
Our Story
Over a dozen area banks came together in the spring of 2017. Time, they said, to unite their people, capabilities and know-how under one umbrella for a unified cause: to identify areas where they could help strengthen financial education and equity of low- and moderate-income groups and communities in need. Our goal: Move them from nontraditional high-cost financial products to the mainstream financial industry to better serve their needs.
Together for Better
Representatives from over 17 Memphis-area banks currently sit on the Memphis Area CRA board, marking the first time this many local banks have come together under one umbrella for a unified cause. Though we are competitors in the banking space, we are, first and forever, collaborators in this neighbor-helping-neighbor space.
